About Steve Jones
I am currently studying meteorology at MSU Denver, pursuing my lifelong fascination with weather patterns and atmospheric phenomena. I am a storm spotter for the National Weather Service Boulder office. I am also a HAM radio operator. My interest in meteorology began when I was just 10 years old, after experiencing the 2000 Fort Worth EF-3 tornado that devastated downtown Fort Worth. Witnessing such a powerful force of nature firsthand left a lasting impression that eventually guided me toward my current academic path.
In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors. Hiking is one of my favorite activities, especially when I can share those experiences with my wife. My combination of scientific interest and love for nature creates a fulfilling life where my professional studies and personal passions continually inform and enrich each other. I am excited to be a part of the team here at Extreme Weather Videos.
