Southeast Wildfires and Tornadoes Leave Trail of Death and Destruction
Many of you have heard about the recent tornadoes and wildfires that have affected portions of the Southeast these past few days. Our hearts go out to the families who have lost loved ones and friends due to the horrific fires across parts of Tennessee and North Carolina. Seven lives have been claimed in Tennessee from the wildfire while five more people were also killed from the tornadoes in Alabama and Tennessee overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday morning. More than 400 structures have been lost due to the wildfire in the Gatlinburg, TN area. Officials are calling this the worst fire in Tennessee in 100 years. Right now there are ways you can help those who have been impacted by the wildfires and tornadoes. You can donate to the Red Cross via Text by senting “REDCROSS” to 90999 to give a $10 donation or visit their website http://www.redcross.org/donations The EWV family of storm chasers want you to know we are praying for you if you have suffered loss. Tennessee is called the “Volunteer State” for a reason. Help is coming from all over the state. Together we can do more. If you can donate, please do. If not, pray for the families. Hopefully with some more rain in sight this coming week that will help the situation.
