The parameters for low-topped severe thunderstorms are in place across the Sacramento Valley region in California! Below is the sheer from the surface to 6km and the current CAPE. The CAPE level is at 500 j/kg in the areas to the south of Sacramento and the bulk shear is between 60-80kts in the area.  We have to watch for and discrete deep-moist convection in the areas east and south of Sacramento, CA.  This is the first slight risk that has been issued for the month of February. I will post any severe weather watches if they are issued later today. Stay with Extreme Weather Videos for the latest severe weather updates!
